The TALOS (Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit), nicknamed "The Man of Steel," is a collaborative technological achievement of 16 organizations, 56 private companies, and several prestigious laboratories and scientific research centers in the United States.

Currently, the US Department of Defense has three TALOS prototypes for testing this summer. Depending on the test results, the US military will decide which prototype is suitable for mass production and deployment to soldiers in 2018.

The TALOS body armor is advertised as being able to protect soldiers from rifle bullets, ensuring good visibility at night, providing essential information through goggles, having a medical kit pouch, and offering good thermal insulation and oxygen supply.

Admiral McRaven called the TALOS body armor the result of a revolutionary invention, capable of elevating soldiers' combat effectiveness to a new level.
