US Army to test 'Iron Man' armor
The US Department of Defense began testing new armor for soldiers fighting on the battlefield this summer, US media reported.

TALOS (Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit) armor, nicknamed "Steel Man", is a joint technological achievement of 16 organizations, 56 private companies and a number of prestigious laboratories and scientific research centers in the US.
Currently, the US Department of Defense has three TALOS prototypes for testing this summer. Depending on the test results, the US military will decide which prototype is suitable for mass production and equipping soldiers in 2018.
The TALOS armor is said to protect soldiers from rifle bullets, ensure good night vision, provide necessary information through goggles, have a medical kit bag, retain heat well and provide oxygen.
Admiral McRaven called the TALOS armor the result of a revolutionary invention, capable of raising the combat effectiveness of soldiers to a new level./.
