The Russian military is secretly testing new super weapons.
“Putin is testing a new secret weapon,” writes the Daily Express. “As Russia rolls out new stealth fighter jet, fears of possible war with Russia grow.”
Is Putin's military testing new weapons?
The "new formidable military toy" here is the fifth-generation multi-role fighter Su-57, equipped with "new electronic systems capable of quickly analyzing combat situations" and "extremely powerful radar capable of detecting the location of ground and air groups at great distances, which, in the face of threats, will be destroyed by long-range "air-to-air" and "air-to-ground" missiles.
According to the Daily Express, during a visit to the aircraft factory in Komsomolsk-na-Amur, Deputy Defense Minister Borisov said further aircraft tests would be carried out urgently.
"We have only had one flight. It seems that everything is fine, but you must understand that this is a test complex and it will fly for a long time. Usually such tests last for two or three years," — said the Deputy Minister.
The "terrible" fighter was introduced just hours after the publication of the annual report of the Munich Security Conference, — the authors note. This year, the drafters warned that Russia is moving closer to "total war" with Europe.
The document, titled "To the Border and Back?" asserts that non-compliance with arms control, the deployment of additional forces and tensions surrounding exercises increase the risk of "unintentional armed conflict."
