Syrian army launches campaign to liberate the center of the country from terrorism

"Liberating this part of the country will be a decisive victory over the terrorists, because this is the largest gathering point of militants on Syrian territory. This will cut off the militants' logistical lines through the central part of the country, and then move on to liberate the remaining areas occupied by terrorists in the north, south and in Idlib province," said Syrian military-strategic expert General Heitham Hassun.
Regarding the strategy to be used, the general said:
"I think that the experience of East Kalamun will be used here, when the militants laid down their arms after a stern warning. When the terrorists realize that their chances are zero, and any resistance is useless, they will have to agree to accept the proposed terms. If this scenario does not materialize, the army will rush in and use force to crush the opponent, as it did in Eastern Ghouta. The terrorists can be surrounded on all sides and gradually expelled from residential areas. This will not even take much time, but due to the complexity of fighting in populated areas, this scenario will be used as a last resort," - analyzed Syrian military strategist, General Heitham Hassun.
