Venezuelan military begins major 6-day exercise
Venezuela's Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) have begun a major six-day exercise to prepare for any situation to defend the country.

General Remigio Ceballos - FANB's strategic operations commander, affirmed that the country's army remains united and united alongside the people and Commander-in-Chief Nicolas Maduro to protect peace on national territory.
General Ceballos stressed that the army will always respect the Constitution and laws of the republic, focus on the important tasks of national defense, cooperate with other forces to protect internal security and order when necessary, and actively participate in the country's development.
The exercise took place in the context of Venezuela's political situation falling into a serious crisis when opposition leader Juan Guaido declared himself "interim President" with the support of the US and a series of European and Latin American countries.
Meanwhile, many countries such as Russia, Cuba, Mexico and Türkiye support President Maduro's government and condemn the coup attempt.
