Military Region 4: Officer Training in 2014
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 5, 2014, at the 414th Engineering Brigade, the 4th Military Region Command organized a training course for officers in 2014. Major General Nguyen Tan Cuong, alternate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Military Region, supervised and directed the training course.
Over a period of four days, 120 senior officers and leaders from four Military Region agencies, the Military Commands of six provinces, three Divisions, five Brigades of various branches, and the 337th Economic-Defense Group were introduced to and agreed upon several important contents regarding: Documents on operational planning in regional defense exercises; Activities of local Party committees, Party branches, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations in defensive operations and combat; Some new issues concerning combat targets; Organization and methods of command and staff exercises with the application of information technology; Methods of training drill and physical fitness; Training in K54 rifle shooting (lesson 1) according to the 2009 advanced military shooting training curriculum and practical observation of transitioning to combat readiness at the Company and Battalion levels; Organization of combat encampment; Logistics work in encampment and company-level bunkers. At the end of the training course, 100% of the participating officers will be tested on drill, swimming, and marksmanship.

Through training, we aim to further strengthen, supplement, and improve the training level and enhance the command, control, and management capabilities of leading officers in directing and organizing training, exercises, and combat readiness tasks in the future, achieving higher results for their respective agencies and units.
