Military Region 4: Implementing policy work in 2014

(Baonghean.vn) -Military Region 4 recently held a conference to implement several policy-related tasks for 2014. The conference was attended by 80 comrades, including leaders of political agencies and policy officers from agencies and units under the Military Region.

Overview of the conference

At the conference, delegates were briefed on two topics: Guidance on implementing Government Decree No. 31/2013/ND-CP dated April 9, 2013, detailing and guiding the implementation of some articles of the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services to the revolution, and Joint Circular No. 28/2013 of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs - Ministry of National Defense on guiding the confirmation of martyrs, war invalids, and those entitled to policies similar to war invalids in wars without supporting documents; and guidance on implementing the Project for searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs from now until 2020 and beyond.

The discussions at the conference unanimously agreed that, in order to effectively implement policy work in the coming period, agencies and units need to closely coordinate with functional agencies inside and outside the military to provide good advice to local Party committees and authorities, focusing on widely disseminating new policies and guidelines of the Party and State, plans, and procedures for implementation at all levels to target groups, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The process of implementing policy work, especially resolving outstanding issues related to war invalids and martyrs, must ensure that it targets the correct beneficiaries and is transparent and open. The implementation of the project to search for and collect the remains of martyrs must be synchronized and effective, in accordance with the policies and plans of the Steering Committee 1237 at all levels.
