Focus on training and fostering Youth Union cadres at all levels

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 11, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Decision No. 289 - QD/TW dated August 2, 2010 of the Party Central Committee and 2 years of implementing the Regulations on union members participating in union activities at their place of residence.

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, and the Provincial Agencies' Party Committee.

The report at the conference stated: After 5 years of implementing the Youth Union Cadre Regulations, the quality of the Youth Union cadre team in the whole province has had positive changes. Youth Union cadres at all levels have clearly affirmed their political qualities, advisory capacity, and sense of organization and discipline. Youth Union cadres from the province to the grassroots level generally meet the standards of professional qualifications, political qualifications, and age according to the regulations, meeting the requirements of the working position. From 2010 to now, the Provincial Youth Union has recruited 14 comrades, and the district level has recruited 95 comrades. Youth Union cadres are increasingly younger, meeting the requirements of the new situation.

Representative of Do Luong District Youth Union made recommendations on training and fostering of Youth Union officials at all levels.

In addition, the work of planning, reviewing and supplementing the planning of Youth Union cadres is carried out more regularly and closely. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee proactively advises and proposes to Party committees at all levels in implementing training and fostering work for Youth Union cadres.

Representatives of Nghi Loc District Youth Union exchanged experiences in managing union members through a two-way activity model.

Attention has been paid to the arrangement and use of Youth Union cadres. From 2010 to now, 18 cadres at the Provincial Youth Union, 45 District-level Youth Union Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries, and 200 full-time commune-level cadres have been transferred to other jobs. Over-age Youth Union cadres have been considered and assigned to temporary jobs that are appropriate to their abilities and professional qualifications.

Comrade Tran Ngoc Bao - Secretary of the Youth Union of Bong Khe commune, Con Cuong district, proposed difficulties in arranging jobs for over-age Youth Union cadres at the grassroots level.

Also at the conference, the Provincial Youth Union organized a review of 2 years of implementing regulations on union members participating in union activities at their place of residence.

The conference is an opportunity for the members to review the achievements as well as the remaining limitations in the implementation of the regulations on Youth Union cadres and regulations on Youth Union members' activities at their place of residence. This is also a forum for grassroots Youth Union cadres to advise and contribute ideas to build a stronger and stronger Youth Union personnel apparatus at all levels, developing both depth and breadth./.
