Pay attention to training and developing Youth Union officials at all levels.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 11th, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held a conference to review the results of the past 5 years of implementing Decision No. 289-QD/TW dated August 2nd, 2010 of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 2 years of implementing the Regulations on Youth Union members participating in Youth Union activities in their place of residence.

Attending the conference were Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, and the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc.

The report presented at the conference stated: Over the past five years of implementing the Regulations on Youth Union Cadres, the quality of the Youth Union cadres throughout the province has seen positive changes. Youth Union cadres at all levels have clearly demonstrated their political qualities, advisory capacity, and sense of organizational discipline. Youth Union cadres from the provincial to the grassroots level generally meet the standards regarding professional qualifications, political qualifications, and age requirements as stipulated in the regulations, fulfilling the demands of their positions. From 2010 to the present, the Provincial Youth Union has recruited 14 cadres, and the district-level Youth Union has recruited 95 cadres. The Youth Union cadre is becoming increasingly younger, meeting the requirements of the new situation.

Representatives from the Do Luong District Youth Union made recommendations regarding the training and development of Youth Union officials at all levels.

In addition, the planning, review, and supplementation of Youth Union cadre planning are carried out more regularly and rigorously. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee proactively advises and proposes to Party committees at all levels on the implementation of training and development for Youth Union cadres.

Representatives from the Nghi Loc District Youth Union shared experiences on managing union members through a two-way activity model.

The placement and utilization of Youth Union officials has received attention. From 2010 to the present, 18 officials at the Provincial Youth Union office, 45 Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of the District-level Youth Union, and 200 full-time officials at the commune level have been promoted to higher positions. Over-age Youth Union officials are given consideration and assigned to suitable positions based on their abilities and professional qualifications.

Comrade Tran Ngoc Bao, Secretary of the Youth Union of Bong Khe commune, Con Cuong district, raised concerns about the difficulties in arranging employment for Youth Union officials who have exceeded the age limit at the grassroots level.

Also at the conference, the Provincial Youth Union held a review meeting on the two-year implementation of the regulation requiring Youth Union members to participate in Youth Union activities in their place of residence.

Comrade Le Quoc Khanh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, discussed the planning, training, and placement of Youth Union cadres.

The conference provided an opportunity for Youth Union members to review the achievements and shortcomings in implementing the regulations on Youth Union officials and the regulations on Youth Union members' participation in activities in their places of residence. It also served as a forum for grassroots Youth Union officials to provide advice and contribute ideas to building a stronger and more developed Youth Union personnel structure at all levels, both in depth and breadth.
