Attention to resettlement for ethnic minorities

(Baonghean.vn) - Along with 7 groups, on the afternoon of December 18, at the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council, a discussion session took place of group 6, including 12 Provincial People's Council delegates from the constituencies of Tuong Duong, Thanh Chuong and Tan Ky.

Attending the discussion session were comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, guests who are elected National Assembly deputies of the 13th term in Tuong Duong, Thanh Chuong and Tan Ky districts; heads of units: Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Science and Technology, Provincial Forest Protection Department, Provincial Military Command; Secretary of District Party Committee, Standing Committee of People's Council and Chairman of People's Committee of Tuong Duong, Thanh Chuong and Tan Ky districts.

At the discussion, delegates mentioned many important issues that are receiving great attention from voters and people in the whole province, especially voters and people in Tuong Duong and Thanh Chuong districts, focusing on the following contents: effectively implementing resettlement projects for ethnic minorities, education quality, surplus teachers, national standard school quotas; perfecting and rearranging the organizational structure of agricultural and forestry farms, etc.

Speaking at the discussion, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee outlined some outstanding situations in the province, prominent issues that voters in the whole province are interested in such as: new rural construction, environmental pollution, use of pesticides, food hygiene and safety, international cooperation programs on production processes and consumption of safe agricultural products, etc.

Delegate Lu Kim Duyen (Tuong Duong) is interested in resettlement work for ethnic minorities.

Regarding the implementation of resettlement projects for ethnic minorities, delegate Lu Kim Duyen (Tuong Duong) reflected that the construction of resettlement areas for Dan Lai people is still overlapping and irresponsible, so people do not come to live there. It is necessary to review the responsibilities and causes to overcome them. The resettlement area in Chau Thanh commune (Quy Hop) is also not effective, and the implementation of many items is slow and needs to be clarified.

Thanh Chuong district delegate Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga is interested in the reorganization of agricultural and forestry farms in the district.

Delegate Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga - Head of the Thanh Chuong District Party Committee's Inspection Commission, proposed that the province further assess the damage caused by natural disasters to agricultural production, especially tea, to find solutions in the following years.

Concluding the discussion session, Mr. Le Quang Dat - Provincial People's Council delegate summarized 7 comments given by the delegates at the discussion session, basically agreeing with the content of the reports of the Provincial People's Council, and at the same time emphasizing some advantages and disadvantages in 2015. Comrade Le Quang Dat promised to accept the opinions of the delegates participating in the discussion and will summarize and submit to the Provincial People's Council.
