Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense offer incense at Vietnam - Laos Cemetery

(Baonghean.vn) - In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation expressed deep gratitude to the heroes who sacrificed themselves for the cause of protecting the Fatherland, the noble and loyal international duty between Vietnam and Laos.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2019) and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2019), on the morning of December 7, the working delegation of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense led by Lieutenant General Phung Sy Tan - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army came to offer incense and flowers at the Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery and presented gifts to policy families in Anh Son district.

Accompanying the delegation were comrades from the Central Military Commission of the Ministry of National Defense; Major General Ha Tan Tien - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4 and comrades from the delegation of the General Staff, Military Region 4 Command, Nghe An Provincial Military Command, and Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command.

The delegation of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense came to offer incense and flowers at the Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery.

At the Vietnam-Laos International Cemetery, the delegation respectfully offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial and laid wreaths and incense at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation expressed deep gratitude to the heroes who sacrificed themselves for the cause of protecting the Fatherland, the noble and loyal international duty between Vietnam and Laos, and vowed to follow in the footsteps of the previous generation, strive to overcome all difficulties, strive to fulfill assigned tasks, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous country.

On this occasion, on behalf of the working delegation, Lieutenant General Phung Sy Tan presented 15 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy families in Anh Son district, each gift worth 2 million VND.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff expressed his deep gratitude for the sacrifices and great contributions of the families of policy beneficiaries and hoped that the families would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, encourage their children and grandchildren to take care of economic development and build their homeland.
