Promoting Nghe An tourism at the Central Press Conference.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 15th, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda Department, in coordination with the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Journalists Association, organized a weekly meeting of central press agencies.

Attending the conference were: Mr. Nguyen The Ky - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Mr. Truong Minh Tuan - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Ha Minh Hue - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association (co-chairing the conference); and leaders of central news agencies and press organizations. Representing Nghe An province were Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of the Department of Information and Communications and Cua Lo Town.

This year's Central Press Briefing Conference dedicated a significant portion of its agenda to hearing a thematic report introducing information and propaganda about tourism in Nghe An, the Cua Lo Festival, and tourism-related activities in 2014.

At the conference, Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh introduced the tourism potential, highlights, tours, and tourism products characteristic of Nghe An's culture, some results of tourism activities, and the development orientation of Nghe An's tourism until 2020. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the contributions of press agencies to the dissemination of information on the province's socio-economic development in the past and the efforts of Nghe An's tourism industry. She hoped that in the future, central press agencies would continue to pay attention to, publicize, introduce, and promote Nghe An's tourism to contribute to its development alongside the rest of the country.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen The Ky, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the provincial leaders and all levels and sectors in the province in making great efforts to make Nghe An tourism an increasingly attractive destination for a large number of domestic and international tourists. Comrade Nguyen The Ky directed the press agencies to allocate appropriate news, articles, and time for propaganda so that more domestic and international tourists know about and visit Nghe An – the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh – contributing to the wider dissemination of Nghe An's tourism values.
