Quang Linh, Quang Dung, Dan Truong, Cam Ly sit on the 'hot seat'

Four singers will search for lyrical music talents in a program called "Bolero Idol".

The Bolero Idol program (originally planned name is Golden Voice) was first held in Vietnam, airing from January 2016.

Candidates with a passion for country music, lyrical and folk songs have the opportunity to perform on a professional stage. Participants in the contest must be 16 years of age or older.

The four judges of the show are Quang Linh, Quang Dung, Dan Truong, and Cam Ly. Musician Minh Vy is the music director. He shared that he really likes Bolero music, so he is eager to find talent with emotional voices and professional performance styles.

Bolero Idol is preparing to recruit students in Hue (November 23-24), Hanoi (November 27-29), Ho Chi Minh City (December 1-3), Can Tho (December 4-6). The judges will directly participate in the selection. Specifically, Cam Ly will sit in the "hot seat" in Hue, Dan Truong in Can Tho and Quang Dung in Ho Chi Minh City.

From the preliminary round, the contestants enter the "Essence" round. Four judges press the button to select contestants for their team without seeing their faces. The chosen person will then sing with the examiner pressing the button. If they are liked by the judges, they will receive priority tickets to the live show round. Those who are selected but not given priority after singing with the judges will participate in the "Challenge" round. Two contestants from each team compete for tickets to the live show round, which is expected to last 8 nights. The champion will receive a cash prize of 500 million VND.
