Quang Tri: Discovered a bomb bunker containing more than 150 bombs left over from the war
On the afternoon of October 5, the Bomb and Mine Clearance Team of Truong Son Construction Corporation, under the 12th Army Corps, discovered a large number of bombs and ammunition in Ka Tang hamlet, Lao Bao town, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province.

While clearing explosives before the construction of the infrastructure project for the expanded Lao Bao International Border Gate cluster, the Bomb and Mine Clearance Team of the Truong Son Construction Corporation, Corps 12 discovered a bomb bunker located at a depth of 2.5m containing 159 bombs and ammunition of various types, including 33 130mm mortars; three 175mm mortars; 70 M79 bombs; three grenades and 50 cluster bombs.
According to local people, bombs and bullets were often found in this area while farming.
Previously, here, the Bomb Disposal Team of Truong Son Construction Corporation, Army Corps 12 discovered many cluster bombs left over from the anti-American resistance war.
Currently, the bombs and ammunition have been brought to the staging area to await processing. The construction unit is coordinating with the Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station to continue expanding the search area./.
