Que Ngoc Hai thanks coach Park for being close to the players
The captain of the Vietnamese team in the 2018 AFF Cup final considered the solidarity among team members as the foundation for bringing home the Southeast Asian championship.
"I am happy to win the AFF Cup with Vietnam after 10 years of waiting. I know everyone has been waiting for this title for a long time. We don't want the fans to wait any longer. It's great that today, everyone has enjoyed the joy of victory," center-back Que Ngoc Hai shared after the 1-0 victory over Malaysia in the second leg of the 2018 AFF Cup final.
When asked which was the most difficult match in the AFF Cup 2018 journey, Ngoc Hai said: "All matches in this year's tournament were difficult. However, all the players and the coaching staff united and overcame the difficulties. I feel happy and very proud of my teammates."

Ngoc Hai was Vietnam's vice-captain at the 2018 AFF Cup, but because Van Quyet did not play for most of the time, the SLNA midfielder became the team's spiritual leader. Overcoming the trauma of mistakes he made in previous AFF Cups, Ngoc Hai played calmly and confidently. He, along with Dinh Trong and Duy Manh, created a steel shield in Vietnam's defense.
Vietnam is the team that conceded the fewest goals at the AFF Cup 2018. When asked about the secret to this, Ngoc Hai said: "First is the solidarity between everyone. Whether it is the coaching staff, players or staff, everyone is focused on football, devoted to the fans. Second is courage. Although many members of the team are young, they know how to overcome pressure, regardless of home or away. Every time they step onto the field, everyone is eager to win."
The center-back wearing the number 3 shirt also did not forget to thank coach Park Hang-seo on the happy victory day. He confided: "Not only at the AFF Cup 2018 but also in previous tournaments, I am very grateful to the coaching staff, especially coach Park Hang-seo. Thank you for coming to Vietnam and teaching the players. He is a great teacher and very close to his students."
After winning the AFF Cup 2018, Ngoc Hai and his teammates will have a few days off before entering the final round of the Asian Cup 2019, starting from January 5, 2018./.
