Que Ngoc Hai: We try to get the best results to give to the fans

The Vietnam team had two training sessions in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the friendly match with Afghanistan at Thong Nhat Stadium.

"We met Afghanistan in 2017 in the 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers. In the upcoming match, we will try to get the best result to give to the fans in Ho Chi Minh City. The fans here have had to wait a long time to be able to see the team compete with their own eyes," Ngoc Hai determined.

"We have been preparing for a week for the match against Afghanistan. The whole team is in good health and spirit and ready to go," Ngoc Hai said.

Besides, Ngoc Hai also shared tactical information when asked about the difference between the 2-center-back and 3-center-back formations.

"No matter what formation they play in, the players will be prepared through each training session. Whether they play with 3 or 2 center-backs is not too important. Most teams in the V.League play with 2 center-backs, so the Vietnamese team's center-backs will adapt if Coach Park makes a change," Ngoc Hai commented.

Center back Que Ngoc Hai also said that he and his teammates are excited to work with Nguyen Anh Duc, who is currently an assistant to Coach Park Hang-seo. "I and the other players are very happy to see Anh Duc again. It's been a long time since we last met, since he retired from the National Team. It's interesting to see Anh Duc again in a new position. I think he is trying very hard and is determined to complete the tasks set by the coaching staff."Que Ngoc Haishare.

The former captain of the Vietnam national team also praised and congratulated the U23 Vietnam players. He said he was very happy that U23 Vietnam had successfully defended the SEA Games Gold Medal. He assessed that this Gold Medal had a special meaning as the players were playing on home ground.

Ngoc Hai added: "I think the defense is an important factor to achieve this success. Players like Nguyen Thanh Binh, Bui Hoang Viet Anh or other young players all showed good skills. They will be the backbone of the National Team in the future and will progress even more."

The central defender from Nghe An and his teammates will have one more training session before facing Afghanistan. The match between the two teams will take place at 7pm on June 1.
