Que Phong: 230 residents receive free eye examinations.

(Baonghean.vn) - From September 15th to 17th, Nghe An Eye Hospital, in coordination with Que Phong General Hospital, organized free eye examinations, cataract surgery, and consultations for eye diseases for patients in the district.

Doctors at Nghe An Eye Hospital examined 234 patients, mostly elderly people. The examinations revealed that most suffered from conditions such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, pterygium, and entropion. After diagnosis, patients were given prophylactic antibiotics and eye wash, as well as advice on how to care for and maintain healthy eyes.

Of the 234 people who came for examination, 28 patients were scheduled for free cataract surgery. In addition to receiving free surgery worth 7.5 million VND, the patients were also provided transportation by the hospital to the Eye Hospital for the procedure.

This is an annual charitable activity carried out by the Eye Hospital to provide eye examinations and alleviate blindness for the people.
