Que Phong: Summary of military recruitment work in 2014

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 27, 2014, Que Phong district held a conference to summarize the 2014 military recruitment work and to implement the 2015 military recruitment tasks.

The conference heard the District Military Command approve the Decision on the restructuring of the District Military Service Council for 2015; and report on the results of military recruitment and troop deployment in 2014 and the tasks for military recruitment in 2015.

Overview of the concluding conference

In 2014, a total of 357 young men were initially selected at the commune level. 178 out of 180 were issued medical examination notices at the district level (2 were absent with valid reasons), and 60 were called up for military service, achieving 100% of the assigned target. The communes of Tien Phong, Muong Ngoc, Que Son, Chau Kim, and Dong Van performed well in supporting the families of soldiers returning to their localities after completing their military service. The communes of Tien Phong, Muong Ngoc, Que Son, Chau Kim, and Dong Van were exemplary in this regard. The projected recruitment target for 2015 is 70 people; the projected preliminary selection target at the commune level is 180 people across 14 communes and towns.

At the conference, the District Emulation and Commendation Council decided to award certificates of merit to 8 collectives for their outstanding achievements in military recruitment in 2014.
