Iraqi Parliament Assesses Prospects of Purchasing Russia's S-400
(Baonghean.vn) - Iraq currently does not need to buy Russian S-400 air defense missile systems. This is the opinion of Mr. Sarkaut Shamsulddin, a member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.

Earlier, Iraqi Ambassador to Russia Haidar Mansur Hadi affirmed that there is currently no decision on Iraq buying Russia's S-400.
“Right now, our military equipment is enough. I believe we should invest in other things. Now we have to invest in oil, railways and roads and other infrastructure, not in buying S-400. We don’t need S-400 now,” Shamsulddin said.
The official acknowledged that Iraq may need such defense systems in the future, but he also noted that purchasing the Russian S-400 would harm bilateral relations with the United States.
