The National Assembly dismissed the Vice President, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy.

This afternoon (April 7), after listening to the report on the results of the discussion at the Delegation and the report on explanations and opinions of the delegates, the National Assembly conducted a secret ballot to dismiss Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan from the position of Vice President; Mr. Truong Hoa Binh from the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; and Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh from the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy.

Chief Justice Truong Hoa Binh, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan and Director Nguyen Hoa Binh were relieved of their positions by the National Assembly.

Mr. Huynh Van Ti (Binh Thuan delegation) - Head of the Ballot Counting Committee said that the total number of delegates was 494, 487 delegates were present, 487 ballots were issued, 487 ballots were collected.

458/486 valid votes (accounting for 92.71% of the total number of National Assembly delegates) agreed to dismiss Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan from the position of Vice President.

471/486 valid votes (accounting for 95.34% of the total number of National Assembly delegates) agreed to dismiss Mr. Truong Hoa Binh from the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court.

472/487 valid votes (accounting for 95.55% of the total number of National Assembly delegates) agreed to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh from the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy.

The National Assembly also voted to pass resolutions to dismiss the above three positions.

Regarding the Resolution on dismissal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Article 2 stipulates that the Resolution takes effect from the time the National Assembly elects the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy.

After that, President Tran Dai Quang presented the proposed personnel for the National Assembly to elect the Vice President, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy to replace those who had just been dismissed./.
