The National Assembly spent most of the second working week listening to reports on the implementation of interpellation resolutions and questioning Government members.

According to the working program, on October 30, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, on behalf of the Government, presented a report summarizing the implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions on thematic supervision and questioning from the beginning of the term to the end of the 4th session of the 14th National Assembly.

Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh and Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy Le Minh Tri will also report on the implementation of the above resolutions of the National Assembly.

The report summarizing the examination content of the Nationalities Council and the National Assembly Committees will be presented to the National Assembly by Secretary General of the National Assembly Nguyen Hanh Phuc.

Head of the Petition Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai presented a report on the results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 5th session of the 14th National Assembly.

The National Assembly also spends more than two days a week for National Assembly deputies to question members of the Government, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will speak to clarify a number of related issues under the Government's responsibility.

Also during this working week, the National Assembly discussed the results of the implementation of the 2018 state budget estimate; the 2019 state budget estimate and central budget allocation plan and the 3-year national financial and state budget plan (2019-2021); allocation of remaining funds and unused regular expenditures in 2017; Mid-term assessment of the implementation of the 5-year medium-term public investment and national financial plan for the 2016-2020 period.

The National Assembly ratified the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and related documents./.
