The National Assembly will hold a closed-door meeting on the situation in the South China Sea.

During the third week of the 9th session of the National Assembly, delegates will hear reports on the situation in the East Sea, the Long Thanh International Airport project, and the situation of wrongful convictions.

From 4 PM on June 5th, delegates will hold a private meeting to hear a report on the situation in the East Sea. This proposal was put forward by delegate Nguyen Anh Son, Head of the National Assembly delegation of Nam Dinh province, and was accepted by the National Assembly leadership and added to the session's agenda.

The issue of wrongful convictions was addressed by Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Truong Hoa Binh in response to questions at a previous session. This matter was further discussed and reported on by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly during its 37th session.

The day before, the Minister of Transport will report on the Long Thanh International Airport construction project. Delegates will then discuss the investment policy for this project in the assembly hall.

The removal of Ms. Chau Thi Thu Nga (Hanoi delegation) from her position as a delegate was considered at the sessions on June 17th and 18th. Delegate Nga is currently being held in temporary detention for investigation into charges of fraud and misappropriation of property.
