The National Assembly will consider dismissing Government Inspector General Phan Van Sau.

The National Assembly will consider dismissing Mr. Phan Van Sau from the position of Government Inspector General and Mr. Truong Quang Nghia from the position of Minister of Transport.

On the afternoon of October 11, at the opening session of the 15th meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly Nguyen Hanh Phuc said that according to the plan at the upcoming 4th session, the National Assembly is expected to consider senior leadership personnel. Therefore, the Secretary General of the National Assembly proposed adding the personnel issue to the meeting agenda.

Regarding this issue, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan also said that, in principle, all contents submitted to the National Assembly must be reviewed and commented on by the National Assembly Standing Committee in advance. The National Assembly Chairwoman requested the Delegation Work Committee to closely coordinate with the Central Organizing Committee and the Government to prepare early and promptly.

As planned, the National Assembly will dismiss Mr. Phan Van Sau from the position of Government Inspector General and Mr. Truong Quang Nghia from the position of Minister of Transport (who was recently assigned by the Politburo to be Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee).

Regarding the process, after dismissing the two above positions, the Government will submit a new personnel plan for the National Assembly to approve.

Also at this 15th session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the Feasibility Study Report of the Land Acquisition, Compensation, Support and Resettlement Project of Long Thanh International Airport; the plan to use government bond capital for the Deo Ca Road Tunnel Project; the North-South Eastern Expressway Project; the postponement of the implementation of the new general education program and textbooks in Resolution No. 88/2014/QH13 dated November 28, 2014 of the National Assembly on innovation of general education programs and textbooks./.
