The National Assembly conducts question and answer sessions in the fields of banking, health, information and communication.
The 4th working week of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly (from November 11 to 13, 2024) will feature many important contents, in which the highlight is the question and answer activities.

From November 11-12, the National Assembly's questioning session focused on three groups of issues in the fields of banking, health, information and communication. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man delivered opening and closing remarks, and chaired the questioning session for each field.
Regarding the first group of issues in the banking sector, the National Assembly focused on questioning: the management of monetary policy to control inflation in the context of the volatile world economic situation; state management of the gold market and foreign exchange market; support for loans and exemption and reduction of interest rates for people and businesses to restore production and business after the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters.
The primary responsibility for answering lies with the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam. Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and the Ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.

Regarding the second group of issues in the health sector, the National Assembly focused on questioning: Mobilization and arrangement of medical forces, ensuring medicine and medical supplies for people and disease prevention and control after natural disasters; granting of licenses and practice certificates in the field of medical examination and treatment; the current status of management of functional foods, pharmaceutical cosmetics and solutions to handle violations; prevention and control of the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment.
The main responsibility for answering lies with the Minister of Health. Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and the Ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Industry and Trade, Education and Training, Public Security, and National Defense also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.
Regarding the third group of issues in the field of information and communication, the National Assembly focused on questioning: Solutions to improve the quality of press activities in the current period of social media explosion, especially the role of revolutionary press in promoting socio-economic development; management of advertising activities in the press and online environment; investment, development and improvement of the quality of telecommunications infrastructure, especially in remote areas, remote areas, and ethnic minority areas.
The main responsibility for answering lies with the Minister of Information and Communications. Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and the Ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Science and Technology, Public Security; and the Chairman of the Ethnic Committee also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.
Also according to the program schedule, the Prime Minister (or authorized Deputy Prime Minister) will report to clarify related issues and answer questions from National Assembly deputies.
During the working week, the National Assembly voted to pass: Resolution on the 2025 Socio-Economic Development Plan; Resolution on the 2025 State budget estimate (including some contents on adjusting and supplementing the State budget estimate); Resolution on the central budget allocation plan for 2025.
The National Assembly also discussed: Investment policy for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis; Adjustment of the investment policy for the Long Thanh International Airport Project in Resolution No. 94/2015/QH13 of the National Assembly; draft Resolution on piloting the implementation of commercial housing projects through agreements on receiving land use rights or having land use rights; draft Resolution of the National Assembly on specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles for projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations, and judgments in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City, and Khanh Hoa Province; investment policy for the National Target Program on drug prevention and control until 2030.
From November 14 to November 19, 2024, the National Assembly will be on recess to allow the National Assembly, Government and relevant agencies time to absorb, revise and finalize draft laws and draft resolutions. After that, the National Assembly will enter the second phase of work at the 8th Session.
