The National Assembly held a thematic conference on "Digital literacy, digital National Assembly"
On the afternoon of September 13, the National Assembly Standing Committee organized a thematic conference on “Digital literacy, digital parliament: Framework of digital knowledge and skills for the modern parliament”. The conference was held directly at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly Building and connected online to the bridge points of National Assembly delegations from provinces and cities across the country.
Attending the conference at the Hanoi bridge were General Secretary To Lam; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; along with leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, ministries, central agencies and delegations from provinces and cities across the country.
On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province attending at the Hanoi bridge point.
Determined to strongly transform digitally in the activities of the National Assembly
Speaking at the opening of the conference, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized: The organization of the thematic conference "Digital literacy, digital National Assembly: Framework of digital knowledge and skills for the modern National Assembly" aims to continue implementing Resolution No. 57 dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. This is an activity demonstrating the National Assembly's determination in digital transformation in public service performance; implementing the specific direction of General Secretary To Lam: It must be implemented methodically, with a set of documents, training and assessment so that each person can clearly see their responsibilities and needs, serving their work more effectively.
The conference focused on equipping knowledge, skills, raising awareness and action on digital transformation for all National Assembly deputies, cadres, civil servants and public employees; proactively applying technology in daily work; especially in law-making, supervision activities and deciding on important issues of the country; demonstrating the National Assembly's determination to implement the important direction of the General Secretary, which is: Developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation is the key driving force, the "golden key" to bring the country to breakthrough development, overcome challenges and realize the aspiration of great power.
Launching the App "Digital Education - Digital National Assembly"
The conference listened to Comrade Le Quang Huy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment report on the organization and implementation of Plan No. 39-KH/DUQH on the movement "Digital literacy - Digital National Assembly" and the policy of the National Assembly Party Committee on building a foundation of digital knowledge and skills for a modern National Assembly, lifelong learning.
Delegates also listened to video reports on the digital knowledge and skills framework for a modern National Assembly; a dialogue on in-depth analysis of the digital knowledge and skills framework for a modern National Assembly; an AI assistant for National Assembly deputies and civil servants to handle regular tasks in public service activities; an introduction to the "Digital Popular Education - Digital National Assembly" platform; a report on the results of the National Assembly's digital transformation work and coordination in implementing Plan No. 39-KH/DUQH, building the "Digital Popular Education - Digital National Assembly" platform.
Delegates at the direct and online bridge points also witnessed the launch of the online App "Digital Popular Education - Digital National Assembly" and the commitment ceremony of the heads of National Assembly agencies in implementing "Digital Popular Education".
On this occasion, the National Assembly Standing Committee awarded the "For the Cause of the Vietnamese National Assembly" Medal to 2 individuals; and presented Certificates of Merit from the National Assembly Office to 7 organizations and 12 individuals with achievements in performing the digital transformation tasks of the National Assembly in the past time.
Spreading knowledge, promoting innovation from the movement "Digital literacy - Digital National Assembly"
Speaking at the conference, General Secretary To Lam commended the Party Committee and leaders of the National Assembly for directing the implementation of the movement "Digital Education for the People - Digital National Assembly" in a methodical, scientific, effective and practical manner.
To develop digital literacy, apply science and technology to the activities of the country, the entire political system, agencies and localities, the General Secretary requested the Party Committee of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and agencies of the National Assembly to focus on directing 6 key areas that the Central Steering Committee on the implementation of Resolution No. 57 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation has pointed out.
The General Secretary also affirmed that the success of the "Digital Literacy - Digital National Assembly" movement will not only improve the quality of the National Assembly's staff but also contribute to spreading knowledge and skills throughout society, successfully implementing national digital transformation goals.
The General Secretary called on delegates to continue to enthusiastically respond, set a good example of lifelong learning and innovation, and turn digital literacy into a widespread revolutionary movement of the entire Party, people, and political system. With solidarity and determination, the goal of building a digital Vietnam, a strong, prosperous and developed country will certainly be achieved.
