National Highway 1A was congested for hours after a traffic accident.
(Baonghean.vn) - A sand-carrying truck, attempting to overtake a passenger bus, collided with it. The minor collision caused a traffic jam on National Highway 1A for hours.
The aforementioned accident occurred at approximately 8:30 AM on March 18th, on National Highway 1A in Quynh Giang commune, Quynh Luu district.
Initial information indicates that at the time of the incident, the truck with license plate 37C - 254.53 (driver's identity unknown) was traveling on National Highway 1A in the direction of Vinh City - Quynh Luu.
Upon reaching the location, the truck attempted to overtake and collided with a sleeper bus bearing license plate 37B - 019.08, which was traveling in the same direction.

The collision caused significant damage to the passenger bus, with all the glass on the left side shattered. The truck sustained damage to its front end and was pinned against the concrete median barrier in the middle of the road.
The accident caused a partial traffic jam on National Highway 1A in Quynh Luu district, lasting for hours. According to reporters, at the time of the accident, hundreds of trucks and cars were lined up for nearly a kilometer on National Highway 1A.
Traffic police from Dien Chau station ( thuộc the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An province) and traffic police from Quynh Luu district police arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.
Reportedly, it took nearly 3 hours for traffic on National Highway 1A to be cleared.
