Quy Chau evacuated 5 households due to concerns about landslides
On the night of September 10, heavy rains occurred in Quy Chau district, causing landslides. Local authorities evacuated 5 households to safe places.

Mr. Sam Van Dung - Chairman of Chau Hanh Commune People's Committee, Quy Chau District said: In the afternoon and night of September 10, there was prolonged heavy rain in the commune, causing landslides in Ta Lanh village. That same night, the commune's forces promptly inspected and discovered the landslide in Ta Lanh village. This is a place with weak ground, especially before that, cracks had occurred on the mountainside, with a high risk of serious landslides, affecting some households living below.

To ensure the safety of the people, on the night of September 10, the functional forces of Chau Hanh commune supported the evacuation of people and property of 5 households, including: Truong Thi Lien; Ho Thi Yen; Dao Thi Uc; Le Hai Chau and Tran Dung Cuong.

"For now, the households are temporarily living in a stilt house in Ta Lanh village. This morning, the commune will put up warning signs for people entering the landslide area, and at the same time specifically check the level of danger and propose a solution," said Mr. Sam Van Dung./.
