Quy Chau opens youth volleyball tournament.

(Baonghean.vn) - To practically celebrate the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2015) and the 69th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27), on the morning of March 24, the Quy Chau District Youth Union, in coordination with the District's Culture, Sports and Tourism Center, organized the opening ceremony of the district-wide youth volleyball tournament.

The tournament features 17 teams divided into 4 groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the finals.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the teams competed enthusiastically, delivering many exciting plays, attracting a large audience who came to watch and cheer. Thanks to the promotion of physical exercise and sports, especially volleyball, the professional quality of the teams was higher than last year and quite consistent.

The opening match was between the Chau Hoi commune youth team and the combined team of the local people.

The tournament was organized to create a healthy and beneficial playground, strengthen solidarity and enhance mutual understanding among grassroots youth organizations, and also to provide an opportunity for the youth of Quy Chau to promote the "Healthy to build a career and defend the country" movement among each youth union member.

The tournament will end on March 26, 2015.
