Quy Chau: Inauguration and putting into use Hieu River Bridge

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 29, the People's Committee of Quy Chau district held a ceremony to inaugurate and put into use the Hieu River bridge project.

The bridge over Hieu River in Chau Hoi Commune (Quy Chau) started construction in February 2015. The bridge is 7m wide, 177.3m long, made of reinforced concrete with 5 spans, with a total investment of over 51 billion VND.

The completion of the bridge over Hieu River has created favorable conditions for travel and trade between the people of Chau Hoi and Chau Nga communes and neighboring communes, eliminating the situation of having to cross by ferry in the past. Accordingly, it has created favorable conditions for exploiting the potential and advantages to develop industry, services, and tourism, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the western region of Quy Chau district, which still has many difficulties./.
