Quy Chau: Lotus Village Singing Festival 2013
(Baonghean.vn) -In anticipation of the 123rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, on the morning of May 6th, Quy Chau district organized the 2013 Lang Sen Singing Festival at the district's Cultural and Sports Center.
Nearly 300 performers from 19 communes, towns, and agencies in the district participated. With the theme of praising the contributions of the Party and the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, and celebrating love for the homeland, each team performed two musical pieces, including songs and folk melodies from Nghe An province, lasting 10-15 minutes.

Overall, the performances were well-chosen on theme, elaborately staged, and featured a large number of performers of various ages. According to the Organizing Committee, compared to previous years, the participating performers are younger, and the performances are diverse, especially the folk songs, chants, and melodies, which were composed and performed by many groups, reflecting the unique characteristics and identity of each locality.
At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the Education and Training Department team, the Second Prize to Chau Tien commune, the Third Prize to the District Party Committee team, and three consolation prizes to three units: the Police Department, Chau Binh commune, and Tan Lac town. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 15 A prizes and 14 B prizes to the winning performances.
