(Baonghean.vn)On the afternoon of May 9th, heavy rain accompanied by tornadoes ripped off the roofs of several houses in Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district, and also broke many trees, damaging the commune's power lines.
At around 3 PM, a sudden downpour and strong winds struck, knocking down several trees in the villages of Xang 2 and Kieng 2, Chau Binh commune. Some trees even fell onto power lines. "Right then, we called the power company to have the electricity cut off," said Lang Van Xuan, a resident of Xang 2 village.
Meanwhile, in Kieng 2 village, according to our observations, heavy rain accompanied by a tornado ripped off roofs and damaged the living amenities of several families. Mr. Mac Van Phuong said: "When the wind hit, the whole family was inside the house. Fortunately, everyone is safe."
