(Baonghean.vn)On the afternoon of May 9, heavy rain and a tornado tore off the roofs of several houses in Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district, and many trees also fell, damaging the commune's power lines.

At around 3pm, heavy rain and strong winds suddenly came, and the strong winds knocked down a number of trees in Xang 2 and Kieng 2 villages, Chau Binh commune. The trees even fell on the power lines. “Right then, we called the electricity company to promptly cut off the power,” said Lang Van Xuan, a resident of Xang 2 village.

In Kieng 2 village, according to our witnesses, heavy rains accompanied by tornadoes tore off roofs and fences and damaged the living facilities of several families. Mr. Mac Van Phuong said: When the wind hit, the whole family was in the house. Fortunately, everyone was safe.
