Chau Thang Commune has more than 6km of medium voltage power lines, mainly running through hills and forests. To ensure electrical safety during the rainy and stormy season, the Chau Thang Commune authorities have coordinated with Quy Chau Electricity to inspect and review unsafe power lines and warn people not to go near them. At the same time, they have coordinated with people to regularly trim tree branches and relocate unsafe structures in the power grid corridor.

Quy Chau district has nearly 119 km of medium voltage power lines with 64 transformer stations and since the beginning of the year, there have been 8 incidents related to network safety. Most of them are cases of falling trees cutting off power lines and short circuits during bad weather.

At the same time, reinforcing and replacing pole positions at risk of causing incidents, renovating and upgrading the lightning protection system of the power grid. Power lines crossing rivers, streams and roads are inspected and the sag is increased to ensure safety standards. However, limited knowledge of electricity and electricity usage of the people makes the work of ensuring network safety difficult.
