Quy Chau: Truck carrying straw catches fire.
(Baonghean.vn) -At approximately 4:30 AM on May 29th, at kilometer 87 on National Highway 48a, a Hyundai vehicle with license plate 37N – 9351 suddenly caught fire while traveling on National Highway 48a.
According to several witnesses, at the time of the incident, they saw the truck carrying straw traveling in the direction of Quy Chau-Vinh. When it reached the Hanh Tien village area, Chau Hanh commune, near Khe Ban bridge, the truck's cabin suddenly caught fire. Upon receiving the report, Hanh Tien village mobilized nearly 100 villagers to extinguish the fire.
Many people helped to put out the fire, so the car didn't suffer much damage.
According to Mr. Luong Van Tuyen from Phu Phuong intersection, Que Phong district (the driver of the vehicle), it is highly likely that the homeowner overloaded the truck with straw, exceeding the capacity of the cabin. While the vehicle was in motion, some straw fell into the exhaust pipe, and combined with the hot weather, it caught fire.
The truck carrying straw reportedly belongs to Trung-Que Transport Company, located in Block 4, Tan Lac town (Quy Chau). Fortunately, the area where the fire occurred was near residential areas, and thanks to timely intervention, there were no casualties and the truck only sustained minor damage.
