Quy Chau: Straw truck catches fire

(Baonghean.vn) -At about 4:30 a.m. on May 29, at km 87, Highway 48a, a Hyundai car with license plate 37N-9351 was traveling on Highway 48a when it suddenly caught fire.

According to many people who witnessed the incident, at the time mentioned above, they saw this truck carrying straw traveling in the direction of Quy Chau - Vinh. When it reached Hanh Tien village, Chau Hanh commune, near Khe Ban bridge, the cabin of this truck suddenly caught fire. Upon receiving the news, Hanh Tien village mobilized nearly 100 people in the village to extinguish the fire.

Many people came to the rescue so the car was not damaged much.

According to Mr. Luong Van Tuyen at Phu Phuong intersection, Que Phong district (the driver of the car), it is likely that the owner piled the straw too full, above the cabin, while driving on the road, the straw fell into the exhaust pipe, combined with the hot weather, causing the straw to catch fire.

It is known that the straw truck belongs to Trung - Que, located in Block 4, Tan Lac Town (Quy Chau). Fortunately, the area where the fire occurred was close to residential areas, and thanks to timely rescue, there were no casualties and the truck was only slightly damaged.
