Case 1: Defendant Tran Anh Tuan, born in 1982 in Hanh Khai Hamlet, Tan Lac Town, was caught red-handed by the district police for the crime of "Illegal possession of narcotics" at 8:45 PM on March 2, 2014. According to the indictment, at the aforementioned time, the Quy Chau District Police discovered a young man riding a motorbike carrying two passengers (one male and one female). The task force inspected the vehicle, and the driver identified himself as Lim Van Thuong, and the two passengers as Tran Anh Tuan and Ha Thi Lan Anh. Upon inspection, the district police found one package of white powder and a syringe containing white liquid. During the investigation, Tran Anh Tuan confessed that it was heroin and methamphetamine, which he had purchased from an unknown person in Tien Phong Commune (Que Phong District) on the morning of March 11, 2014, for 250,000 VND for personal use.

At 7 PM on March 12th, upon seeing Lim Van Thuong come to visit, Tran Anh Tuan asked him to put a gift package in Thuong's car trunk to give to his girlfriend. After going to Ha Thi Lan Anh's house, the three prepared their tools and went to the town together, but were arrested by the district police force in Block 2, Tan Lac town. Tran Anh Tuan himself had one prior conviction for "Illegal possession of narcotics." On March 19, 2006, the Quy Chau District People's Court sentenced Tran Anh Tuan to 24 months in prison, calculated from November 9, 2005 to May 25, 2007, but the defendant was temporarily suspended from serving his sentence due to a serious illness.

The People's Court of Quy Chau District sentenced Tran Anh Tuan to 3 years, 3 months, and 15 days in prison. The sentence is effective from March 12, 2014.

Case 2: Defendant Sam Van Dat, born in 1982, residing in Mo village, Chau Binh commune (Quy Chau district), was sentenced by the District People's Court to 2 years and 6 months in prison for the crime of "illegally possessing narcotics," the sentence time calculated from the date of arrest (March 8, 2014).

Case three: The trial of defendant Loc Van Nguyen, born in 1973, a teacher with permanent residence in Na Son village, Dien Lam commune, for the crime of "illegally buying and selling narcotics." According to the indictment, during the investigation, Mui confessed to buying one packet of heroin from Loc Van Nguyen (Dien Lam commune) for 200,000 VND. On March 6, 2014, Mui was preparing to use it when he was arrested by the district police. At the investigative agency, Nguyen confessed that on March 2, 2014, he went to Quang Phong commune, Que Phong district, to buy a packet of heroin for 500,000 VND from an unknown man with the intention of using it and selling it for profit. Around 10:00 AM on March 5, Loc Van Nguyen sold one packet of heroin to Luong Van Mui and Vi Van Thuan for 200,000 VND.

The court sentenced Loc Van Nguyen to 2 years and 6 months in prison for the crime of "illegally trading narcotics" (the prison term is calculated from the date of Nguyen's arrest (February 10, 2014)).

Case 4: The court sentenced defendants Vi Van Lang (born 1986), Vi Van Thuoc (born 1968), Vi Van Nguyen (born 1976), and Luong Van Tien (born 1986), all residing in Bua village, Chau Phong commune, for the crime of "theft of property," each receiving a prison sentence of 3-4 months and a suspended sentence.

According to the indictment of the Quy Chau People's Procuracy, at approximately 11:45 PM on February 7, 2014, Vi Van Lang returned home and saw a herd of cows in his garden. Lang threw stones to drive them away. When he got outside, Lang saw a calf (worth 5 million VND) that had been hit by a stone and died. He then intended to steal it and immediately called Vi Van Thuoc, Vi Van Nguyen, and Luong Van Tien to butcher it and share the meat. They took the dead calf to Nguyen's house to butcher it. After dividing the meat, they were discovered by the Chau Phong commune police, who drew up a report and handed it over to the Quy Chau district police for handling. The defendants' actions constituted the crime of "Theft of property." Vi Van Thuoc, Vi Van Nguyen, and Luong Van Tien were each sentenced to 3 months imprisonment, but given a suspended sentence of 12 months from the date of the first-instance judgment (May 28, 2014).
