Quy Hop: 7 months, 37 drug offenders arrested

(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 7 months of 2017, the police force of Quy Hop district discovered and arrested 21 cases, 37 subjects; seized 108.7 grams of heroin, 21.9 grams of crystal meth, 20 synthetic drug pills.

On the afternoon of July 19, Quy Hop Police held a discussion to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the People's Police Force's tradition day (July 20, 1962 - July 20, 2017).

In the past 10 years, the police force of Quy Hop district has established and fought 57 criminal cases, eliminated 40 criminal gangs of property theft, gambling, and prostitution. Established and discovered 38 drug cases; discovered, arrested, and handled 270 cases, 389 criminals; seized 596 grams of heroin.

In 2016, the police force of Quy Hop district policebroke 6 special cases, arrested 22 cases, 24 drug criminals, seized evidence of 1 heroin cake and 204.1g of heroin, 21.2g of crystal meth, 1.6g of synthetic drugs.

In the first 7 months of 2017 alone, the police force of Quy Hop district discovered and arrested 21 cases, 37 subjects, seized 108.7g of heroin, 21.9g of crystal meth, 20 synthetic drug pills and 0.2g of marijuana.

At the seminar, officers and soldiers of Quy Hop Police shared and exchanged experiences in the process of performing their duties. Along with that, they proposed effective solutions in crime prevention and control. From there, they propagated and mobilized people to participate in the movement of the whole people protecting national security, actively denouncing crimes and social evils, and coordinating in handling cases related to security and order at the grassroots level.

In recognition of the achievements of Quy Hop Police over the past 55 years, the Party and State awarded 1 First Class Military Exploit Medal and 1 Third Class Military Exploit Medal.

Also at the seminar, the Provincial Police presented certificates of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual; the People's Committee of Quy Hop district presented certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 12 individuals.
