Quy Hop: Donated 100 million VND to build houses for poor households.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 6, leaders of Quy Hop district presented 100 million VND to support housing construction for 2 families in difficult circumstances in Yen Hop and Chau Thanh communes.

The two families that received support were Ms. Lang Thi Lan, in Tho village, Yen Hop commune, and Ms. Tran Thi Hanh, in Hang village, Chau Thanh commune. These are two single women households with especially difficult circumstances because their husbands died early, the women had to raise their children and were disabled, unable to build houses.

With the support of 50 million VND/household, families are building houses, each house has an average area of ​​35 to more than 40m2, worth about 70 million VND. In addition to the support money, relatives and neighbors also help with cash and labor.

Of the 4 houses that the Northwest Steering Committee supported for Quy Hop district with a total amount of 200 million VND this time, currently 3/4 houses have been basically completed, while 1 house in Chau Thanh commune has only been half built. Currently, the district's Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs is directing 4 localities, Yen Hop, Chau Thanh, Lien Hop and Nam Son, to closely monitor the project to ensure quality and soon complete and put into use when the rainy and stormy season is approaching.
