(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 13th, the Vietnamese Heart Foundation, Vietnam Television, the "Returning Home" program, Lien Viet Post Bank, Saigon Beer Company, and several benevolent individuals visited and provided support to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet and Mr. Le Van Hoa in Block 9, Cau Giat town, Quynh Luu district. Their family is in extremely difficult circumstances, with three members affected by Agent Orange, and Ms. Tuyet herself recently suffered a traffic accident resulting in the amputation of her arm.

Mr. Le Van Hoa, born in 1952, answered the sacred call of the homeland and joined the Southern Advance Army to liberate the South. In 1976, he was discharged from the army and married Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, with whom he had three children: two sons and one daughter. Due to the effects of Agent Orange, all three of their children were born with deformities, the most severe being their second son and youngest daughter, who suffer from deformed hands and feet and are bedridden with trembling.

In 1990, while he was the family's breadwinner, he became frail and shaky like his children, eventually becoming bedridden and unable to walk. All the hardships fell on Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyet's shoulders, but a month ago, while crossing the road, she was hit by a truck. Her condition is critical; she had to have one arm amputated and suffered many other severe aftereffects.

Currently, all four members of the family are bedridden, and all their daily activities, including eating and drinking, depend on their eldest son, Le Van Cuong, who also suffers from a deformity of drooping shoulders, is married, has two young children, and relies on neighbors for support.

In response to the difficulties faced by Mr. Hoa and Mrs. Tuyet's family, representatives from the Vietnamese Heart Foundation, the "Returning Home" program of Vietnam Television, and Lien Viet Post Bank provided the family with 100 million VND; Saigon Beer Company, North Central Branch, donated 10 million VND, along with warm blankets and rice; the Veterans Association of Vietnam Television donated 4.7 million VND; Veteran Tran Luc of Vietnam Television donated 10 million VND; staff of Lien Viet Post Bank donated 6 million VND; and BHD Company of Ho Chi Minh City donated 10 million VND.
