(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 24th, the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Thanh Giang commune (Thanh Chuong district) coordinated with the Vietnam Commercial and Industrial Bank to organize a ceremony to relocate the remains of martyrs from the old cemetery to the new cemetery in the area.

Among the 158 martyrs from Thanh Giang commune whose remains were relocated to the new cemetery, 17 have names, including 7 martyrs whose remains were collected from various locations across the country. The Thanh Giang Martyrs' Cemetery was built with a total investment of 3.7 billion VND, of which the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade contributed 2 billion VND.

It is known that in recent years, VietinBank has supported Nghe An province with over 70 billion VND for the construction of numerous projects related to gratitude and social welfare. In 2013 alone, the bank provided Nghe An with 8 billion VND to build several schools and the Martyrs' Cemetery in Thanh Giang commune.
