The Vietnam Cinema Association received a petition from artist Quyen Linh about being defamed by some individuals for the purpose of attracting views.

The Vietnam Cinema Association has just signed a document to send to the Department of Internal Political Security (A03) and the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05) (both under the Ministry of Public Security) regarding the incident related to artist Quyen Linh.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Cinema Association received a request from Mr. Mai Huyen Linh (artist Quyen Linh) - Vice President of the Association, reflecting that he and his family were attacked and slandered by some individuals using social networks.

These false contents were spread on cyberspace, showing signs of violating the provisions of the Civil Code, the Penal Code and the Law on Cyber Security, causing serious damage to his personal honor and reputation and negatively affecting his family life.

On that basis, the Vietnam Cinema Association - as a socio-political, professional and mass organization assigned by the Party and State at the Central level - has sent an urgent document to the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Mass Mobilization Department, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and functional agencies of the Ministry of Public Security including the Department of Internal Political Security (A03) and the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05).

Artist Quyen Linh brought a petition to the Vietnam Cinema Association.

The Association recommends that the authorities review and strictly handle the violations of the law mentioned in the petition, and at the same time requests that press and media agencies be careful and not unintentionally assist in the spread of false and unverified information.

The Vietnam Cinema Association emphasized that this is a necessary action to protect the legitimate rights and interests of members in accordance with the Association's charter, while contributing to ensuring the strictness of the law and maintaining a clean and healthy online environment.

According to artist Quyen Linh, some people edited old personal photos of him to create a connection between the artist and the fake milk advertisement in the current scandal and spread it on social networks.

"Taking advantage of the recent discovery and handling of some companies producing and trading fake milk by the authorities, some individuals and organizations have deliberately used my and my family's images to defame, lower my reputation and insult my personal honor.

This has caused deep damage to my entire family, especially my two daughters who are at a sensitive psychological age. My family is suffering from a severe psychological crisis from a series of acts that defame and slander us."he wrote in the application.

Quyen Linh also said that some information sites and personal pages posted articles, videos and images on social networks and electronic news sites intentionally linking his personal image to incidents related to fake milk, containing insulting and harsh words, causing serious misunderstandings.

The artist said that the dissemination of incomplete, incorrect, misleading information, creating public opinion and leading public opinion in a negative direction, directly violated his honor, dignity and reputation.

At the end of the petition, Quyen Linh said he accepted any wrongdoing but affirmed that it had nothing to do with the fake 573 milk that authorities announced in recent days.
