Absolutely not let "Birth not declared, death not reported"
(Baonghean.vn) - From January 2016 to the end of June 2018, 3,404 civil status events were resolved at the district level; 495,907 civil status events were resolved at the People's Committees of 480 communes in the province.
On the morning of November 1, in Vinh city, the Department of Justice held a conference to review 3 years of implementing the Law on Civil Status and documents guiding its implementation in the province.

Also attending the conference were leaders of departments, branches; People's Committees, District Justice Departments and Justice - Civil Status officials of districts, cities and towns in the province.
After 3 years of implementing the Law on Civil Status, the work of civil status registration and management has become more organized. Agencies performing civil status registration have become aware of their responsibilities, people have realized the importance of civil status documents, so they do not arbitrarily correct, add, or remove them; they voluntarily register civil status events within the time prescribed by law, limiting the situation of "births not declared, deaths not reported" as before.
Commune-level civil status judicial officials have proactively researched, improved their capabilities, qualifications, and expertise, and participated in training courses, so the work is resolved quickly, in accordance with legal regulations, reducing complaints and denunciations about civil status.
According to the preliminary report from January 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018, 3,404 civil status events were resolved at the district level; 480 commune People's Committees in the province resolved 495,907 civil status events.

In addition, the implementation of the three procedures of birth registration, permanent residence registration and health insurance for children under 6 years old according to the provisions of Joint Circular No. 05/2015 has initially brought many benefits to people, simplified administrative procedures, shortened processing time, and discussed.
At the same time, overcome the situation of children whose births are registered but not yet imported and issued health insurance cards; facilitate people in the process of making documents, reduce time and travel costs, especially in remote communes; contribute to improving the quality of administrative reform, enhance the responsibility of civil servants in serving the people. Accordingly, from September 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018, 21/21 districts, cities and towns received 190,580 documents, of which 189,430 documents have been processed, and 1,156 documents are being processed.
In his concluding speech at the Conference, comrade Hoang Quoc Hao affirmed that the implementation of the Law on Civil Status and its guiding documents, the work of civil status registration and management in our province has made progress and achieved important results.
It is recommended that all levels and sectors continue to carry out information work; complete and upgrade registration software; disseminate and popularize laws on civil status in localities in various appropriate forms, raise people's awareness of exercising their rights and obligations to register for civil status; strengthen coordination between the Department of Justice and sectors and localities in the province to remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process.
At the Conference, 06 groups and 06 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 03 groups and 15 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Director of the Department of Justice for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Law on Civil Status.
