(Baonghean) - With determination, Mr. Le Dinh Son (born in 1971) from Vinh Hoa hamlet, Hop Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district (Nghe An province) has risen to establish himself and become a billionaire. Currently, he owns the largest motorcycle repair and parts trading workshop and clothing shop in the rice-growing district, creating jobs for many local workers.

Le Dinh Son came from a poor, large Catholic family (with nine siblings), but he worked hard to excel in his studies. With his academic abilities, he could have passed the entrance exams for any university, but due to poverty, he had to give up his dream of attending university and instead chose to learn motorcycle repair. And it was this profession that led him to wealth.

At home, Sơn was helping his parents raise his younger siblings, but what profession should he choose to earn money? This was a question constantly on his mind. After many sleepless nights of thinking, he finally decided to learn motorcycle repair. He shared: “At that time, I thought that in the future, there would be many motorcycles, and if I learned this trade well, I wouldn't lack jobs. I also compared it to university, which takes 4-5 years, and even after graduation, there's no guarantee of a job. But I could learn a trade in 1-2 years, without paying tuition fees, and even get a salary, and after finishing the course, I would definitely earn money.” With that thought in mind, Sơn went south alone to find a career. At first, in a strange land, penniless, he had to live a precarious life at markets, under bridges, and starving on the streets... But, with his determination and willpower, he persevered and managed to get an apprenticeship at a fairly well-known motorcycle repair shop in Ho Chi Minh City. With his intelligence and diligent, hardworking nature, Son quickly learned the basics of motorcycle repair.

Returning to his hometown, with his savings and a bank loan, he rented a small kiosk in Hamlet 4, Hoa Thanh Commune, bordering Yen Thanh District Town, to open a motorcycle repair shop. With his high skill, friendly attitude, and commitment to integrity, his shop became increasingly popular, attracting many young people seeking apprenticeships. From there, Son invested in more modern equipment to improve his repair services and expanded into selling motorcycle parts. His repair shop became famous not only within the district but also attracted customers from Dien Chau, Do Luong, and Quynh Luu districts.

At the same time, realizing that selling clothes was also a lucrative business, he boldly opened another clothing shop, attracting a large number of customers. Currently, his motorcycle repair and parts shop and clothing shop are the two largest establishments in Yen Thanh district, generating billions of dong in annual income and providing jobs for more than 15 employees with salaries ranging from 5 to 10 million dong per person per month.

With a compassionate heart, whenever he earns money, Mr. Le Dinh Son regularly helps unfortunate individuals or families facing hardship and misfortune. After work, he also participates in sports and is a formidable table tennis player, winning dozens of top prizes in table tennis competitions at the district and provincial levels.

Speaking about the secret to his success, Son shared: “My path to success was full of obstacles and required a lot of sweat and tears, but in my opinion, with determination and hard work, anyone can succeed. If you have dreams, ambitions, and the determination to see things through, you will succeed. And the important thing is to learn and gain experience from skilled people and from each specific job.”
