Quynh Luu concludes the "Golden Rice Spike" volleyball tournament.

(Baonghean)This morning, October 7th, at the Quynh Luu District Gymnasium, the Quynh Luu District Women's Union and the Quynh Luu District Farmers' Association held the closing ceremony of the 2011 "Golden Rice Spike" men's and women's farmers' volleyball tournament.

This year's tournament features 36 men's and 26 women's volleyball teams with over 700 participating athletes. After two weeks of exciting qualifying rounds with over 100 matches across 12 clusters in the district, the organizing committee selected 12 teams to compete in the finals. With their unwavering dedication, the teams delivered many excellent matches, showcasing beautiful and captivating plays, demonstrating the vibrant sportsmanship and physical training spirit of the farmers' and women's associations at all levels in the district.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 4 third prizes to 2 teams. In the men's volleyball competition: first prize went to Hoang Mai town, second prize to Cau Giat town, and third prize went to Quynh Hau and Quynh Luong communes. In the women's volleyball competition: first prize went to Quynh Doi commune, second prize to Quynh Thach commune, and third prize was shared by Quynh My and Quynh Hoa communes.

In addition, the organizing committee also awarded two style prizes to the Ngoc Son commune team and the Hoang Mai town team, along with six other individual prizes.
