(Baonghean.vn) - Quynh Luu district currently has 290 senior citizen clubs, including 197 health-promoting exercise clubs, providing opportunities for nearly 10,000 elderly people to participate in exercises to improve their health; and 93 poetry clubs, a playground for over 3,000 elderly people who love poetry.

In 2011, the District Senior Citizens Association organized tours for nearly 700 senior citizens, with a total support amount exceeding 98 million VND. The Association expanded the senior citizens' club model to all 43 communes and towns, including 153 clubs organized by branches or residential clusters, attracting over 9,000 senior citizens to participate in regular exercise sessions.
