Quynh Luu: People contribute 21 billion VND to build new rural areas

(Baonghean.vn) - The total resources for new rural construction in the first 9 months of 2016 of Quynh Luu district reached more than 871 billion VND; of which, people contributed nearly 21 billion VND.

After 5 years of implementing the national target program on building new rural areas, the lives of local people have been improved, and infrastructure has been built spaciously and modernly. Up to now, Quynh Luu district has 12 communes meeting new rural standards, reaching a rate of 37.5%, among the top in the province.

People of village 20, Quynh Van commune launched a campaign to build new rural roads.

In implementing the movement to build new rural areas, in addition to state funding, localities also actively mobilized people to contribute money, working days, and donate works and assets.

In the first 9 months of 2016 alone, the total resources mobilized to implement new rural construction in the whole district reached over 871 billion VND; of which, people contributed nearly 21 billion VND.

Currently, the entire district has achieved an average of 15.3/19 NTM criteria. It is expected that by the end of 2016, Quynh Luu district will have 3 more communes meeting the standards: Quynh Yen, Quynh Ngoc and Quynh Ba.

In addition, Quynh Doi commune is also actively striving to improve the quality of the criteria, to soon be recognized as a model new rural commune in the period 2015 - 2020.
