Quynh Luu opens the "Golden Rice Spike" farmers' volleyball tournament.

(Baonghean.vn) - To commemorate the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Farmers' Association (October 14, 1930 – October 14, 2014) and the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 2014), on the morning of October 10, at the Quynh Luu District Gymnasium, the Farmers' Association and the Women's Union of Quynh Luu District, in coordination with the District Sports Center, organized the 4th Quynh Luu District "Golden Rice Spike" Men's and Women's Farmers' Volleyball Tournament in 2014.

The 4th "Golden Rice Spike" Farmers' Volleyball Tournament in 2014 featured 38 teams, including 24 men's teams and 14 women's teams from 25 communes and towns, with over 400 athletes who are members of the Farmers' Association, Women's Association, and numerous officials and members throughout the district. The tournament took place over four rounds from October 10th to October 14th, with 31 matches for men and 25 matches for women to compete for first, second, and third place.

This tournament aims to foster sportsmanship and improve the health of farmers' and women's association members, contributing to the enhancement of human resources quality for the successful implementation of industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and the construction of new rural areas. At the same time, it also serves as a valuable platform for farmers' and women's association members throughout the district to meet, interact, and strengthen solidarity and camaraderie.

Following the opening ceremony, exciting matches took place between the men's and women's teams.
