Quynh Luu: Opening Ceremony of the Badminton Tournament for Officials and Employees

(Baonghean.vn) - Towards the 86th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2015), on the morning of July 25, at the Quynh Luu District Gymnasium, the Quynh Luu District Labor Federation, in coordination with the District Sports Center, organized the opening ceremony of the 2015 Badminton Tournament for officials and employees of Quynh Luu District.

Nearly 200 athletes, comprising officials, employees, and workers from various agencies, businesses, and 33 communes and towns throughout the district, participated in this year's competition. Over two days, July 25th and 26th, the athletes were divided into three age groups: under 35, 36-45, and over 45, competing in men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. This is a traditional tournament organized annually by the Quynh Luu District Labor Union to support the "National Movement for Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh." It also provides an opportunity for officials and employees to interact, learn from each other's experiences in work and sports, and encourages unity and enthusiastic participation in labor and production, contributing to socio-economic development.Immediately after the opening ceremony, the first matches took place, proving fierce and exciting, attracting a large audience to watch and cheer.
