Quynh Luu: Opening ceremony for swimming class to prevent drowning.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 21st, at Quynh Doi commune, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district held the opening ceremony of the 2015 swimming class for children to prevent drowning.

To prevent accidents and injuries in general, including drowning among children, in 2014, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district organized training for 30 children on swimming techniques. Through this training, the children acquired skills and techniques to prevent drowning. Importantly, they subsequently became instructors for their peers in their respective organizations and villages.

The swimming pool in Quynh Ba commune is where swimming lessons for teenagers and children are held.

Building on the successes of 2014, in 2015 Quynh Luu district continued to open its second training course to train 30 children and teenagers from the communes of Quynh Hau, Quynh Hong, Quynh Thach, Quynh Ba, and Quynh Doi. The course will take place over 6 days from June 21st to 26th at the swimming pool in Quynh Doi commune.

During the course, children will receive guidance from coaches on swimming skills and techniques, thereby gaining basic knowledge about swimming and the ability to prevent drowning accidents. At the end of the course, they will become junior swimming instructors, sharing their learned knowledge with their peers to minimize drowning accidents.
