(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 15th, the 27th day of the Lunar New Year, many ATMs in Quynh Luu district were overloaded due to the large number of people withdrawing money. In particular, many ATMs were out of order, causing people to wait for hours.

Around Tet (Lunar New Year), the number of people going to ATMs at banks is very high, often resulting in long queues. In Cau Giat town, according to our observations, ATM locations of banks such as Vietnam Industrial and Commercial Bank, Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, and SHB Bank were all crowded with people waiting in line for their turn to withdraw money. Many people had to wait for hours.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung said that he had been queuing to withdraw money at the Vietnam Industrial and Commercial Bank since 4 PM, and it was still not his turn. It's the same every year; every time he goes to withdraw money, he has to wait.

Like Mr. Hung, many people withdrawing money also have to wait in the same way. According to our investigation, most banks in the district only have one ATM location, with only the Vietnam Industrial and Commercial Bank having two. However, this is still insufficient to meet the demand for cash withdrawals during the Tet holiday period. Therefore, people have to wait a very long time to withdraw money.
