Quynh Luu (Nghe An) exports 2,000 tons of one-sun dried needlefish
(Baonghean.vn) - In the first quarter of 2018, fishermen in Quynh Luu district exploited more than 6,000 tons of seafood of all kinds. Of which, 500 tons of fresh squid, 2,500 tons of anchovy... about 2,000 tons of needlefish were exported to China.

According to traders, in recent years, the value of hairtail fish has increased 2-3 times compared to before. The reason is that the demand for orders from China has increased sharply. As much fish is caught, that much is consumed.
Currently, hairtail fish is processed into 3 types: fresh hairtail fish, one-sun-dried hairtail fish and dried fish. Of which, one-sun-dried hairtail fish is the most popular.
Other products such as shrimp, squid and anchovies of fishermen in Tien Thuy, Quynh Nghia, Quynh Long and Son Hai communes arePreliminary freezing for consumption in the province and making fish sauce.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dao - owner of a seafood processing facility in Quynh Nghia commune said: The price of needlefish purchased at the wharf is 100,000 - 120,000 VND/kg.
After processing, the price for exporting to China is 170,000 VND/kg for fresh fish, 200,000 VND/kg for sun-dried fish and 400,000 VND/kg for dried fish. To ensure deliciousness and hygiene, each product after processing is vacuum-packed.
