Quynh Luu: Many citizens voluntarily surrender firecrackers.
(Baonghean.vn) - As part of a comprehensive inspection and a campaign to encourage people to surrender weapons, explosives, supporting tools, firecrackers, and violent toys before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Goat, on the morning of February 6th, several citizens in Quynh Luu district came to the district police station to surrender firecrackers.
On January 12, 2015, Quynh Luu district organized a campaign to encourage all citizens to surrender illegal weapons, explosives, fireworks, prohibited dangerous toys, and sky lanterns. Following the launch, the Quynh Luu District Police investigated and arrested many individuals involved in the illegal trade of fireworks and dangerous toys. Recognizing the harm and danger of fireworks, many citizens voluntarily came to the Quynh Luu District Police headquarters to surrender them.

On the morning of February 6th, four citizens – Mr. Le Van Chuong from Hamlet 18, Quynh Van Commune; Mr. Tran Minh Toan from Dai Hai Village, Quynh Long Commune; Mr. Ho Van Hai and Mr. Nguyen Van Nam from Quynh Thach Commune – came to the Administrative Management Team for Social Order – Quynh Luu District Police to surrender a total of over 8 kg of various types of firecrackers. According to data from Quynh Luu Police, from September 2014 to February 6th, 2015, the police arrested 13 cases involving 17 individuals and seized 130 kg of various types of firecrackers. In the coming time, the police force will continue to coordinate with local authorities to raise awareness and call on people to surrender illegal weapons, explosives, and firecrackers so that people can have a joyful, healthy, and safe Tet holiday.
