Quynh Luu is ready for the beach tourism season.

(Baonghean)Quynh Luu district has a strong advantage in its coastal resources, with many diverse and abundant industries and occupations. Especially during the summer months, the beaches become a popular destination for tourists to visit and swim. Every March, infrastructure along the beaches is being renovated and upgraded to better serve visitors.

Restaurants and guesthouses are being built in Quynh Nghia to serve tourism during the summer of 2014.

With its immense potential for beach tourism, featuring relatively flat, long stretches of sand and a landscape that combines mountains, sea, rivers, and streams, Quynh Nghia beach is known as the most beautiful beach in Quynh Luu district. Every March, owners of shops and guesthouses pay special attention to strengthening and upgrading infrastructure to serve tourists. Mr. Xuan Hinh, a shop owner on the beach, said that to prepare for this year's summer tourist season, his family hired workers nearly two months ago to renovate the restaurant, eatery, and other facilities. In addition, he invested in building two more guesthouses right on the beach.

Quynh Nghia Beach currently has 13 restaurants and 3 accommodation establishments with more than 20 bedrooms. Most of these establishments are strictly inspected by the beach management. Visiting the restaurants and services here, we noticed that most organizations and individuals providing services comply well with the beach regulations, such as: publicly displaying prices, ensuring fire safety, and maintaining environmental hygiene. Mr. Tran Quan Chinh, owner of Huong Bien 2 restaurant, said: “To serve tourists, we have built a new two-story dining area right next to the beach. We instruct our restaurant staff not to arbitrarily raise prices. At the same time, we ensure hygiene and safety to prevent customer complaints.”

Besides Quynh Nghia beach, at this time, several other beaches such as Quynh Bang, Quynh Minh, Quynh Lien... are also rushing to complete essential infrastructure to prepare for welcoming tourists. Many shops are springing up, and entertainment areas are being invested in and built. To make summer activities more diverse this year, the District People's Committee, in coordination with coastal communes, is organizing many activities to welcome summer 2014 such as: beach volleyball, tug-of-war, football, cultural performances, and other recreational activities... In 2013, Quynh Luu district welcomed 150,000 tourists for sightseeing and relaxation. In 2014, the district has 14 accommodation establishments with a total of more than 210 rooms, attracting more than 100 workers. Of these, in the coastal communes there are 4 guesthouses and hotels; and nearly 20 restaurants meeting standards.

Mr. Ho Ngoc Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Luu District, said: “In preparation for the 2014 beach tourism season, the district has directed the Department of Culture and Information to strengthen propaganda work. Along with that, we are organizing activities to attract tourists to the beach; accelerating the construction of transportation infrastructure; creating conditions to attract investment projects and encouraging collectives and individuals to build facilities serving tourists, thereby connecting cultural and spiritual sites, exploiting scenic spots and traditional craft villages. Quynh Nghia commune has attracted Thien Nam Son One-Member Limited Company to invest in building a system of restaurants and guesthouses. Quynh Luu will choose Quynh Nghia beach as the center for beach tourism.”

With its rich tourism potential and kind, hospitable people, Quynh Luu is becoming an attractive destination for investors and tourists from within and outside the province.
