Quynh Luu: Giving Tet gifts to extremely poor and disadvantaged households.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 13th, Quynh Luu district organized a delegation to visit and present gifts to extremely poor and disadvantaged families in the district on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2015 (Year of the Goat).

Mr. Ho Ngoc Dung – Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Luu District, presents gifts to parishioner Nguyen Chanh Nhuong.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to parishioner Nguyen Chanh Nhuong in Hamlet 21, Thuan Nghia Parish, Quynh Lam Commune, a poor household with particularly difficult circumstances. Mr. Nhuong is a "martyr who returned after 42 years of being reported dead," has no wife or children, and currently lives with his older brother, Nguyen Chanh Nghiem. All his living expenses depend on his brother. To encourage him and help him celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year in a warm and meaningful way, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the district presented him with a gift and 2 million VND in cash.

Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Duc in Hamlet 2, Son Hai Commune. This is a family facing difficult circumstances; his wife passed away, leaving him with two disabled children, both suffering from mental illness. Mr. Duc himself is also mentally impaired. Their daily lives depend solely on the meager income of his eldest daughter-in-law. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Year of the Goat), the delegation presented the family with a gift package and 1 million dong in cash, helping them to have a warm and joyful holiday.
